Budgeting Builds the Framework
You know, I have come to learn that I must budget far more than just money. What about my time? My schedule? And more important now that my metabolism has been shot down due to menopause (UGGG), my calories! I have followed the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University budgeting system for many years. Wake up and behold the Hand of God
Do we see the hand of God directing us in our lives? From the the big things to the little things? We always say that the big things in life that happen, like the healing of a sickness or a job when destitution is around the corner, are the things we praise and give glory to God for. But are God’s blessings only to be recognized on the ‘obvious?’ We believe God wants us to acknowledge and recognize his hand over all matters of our lives. Unlike tithing, we don’t believe that God only wants 10% of the glory. We think he wants it all, be it big or small.…

Change
During Covid, my husband and I made a short documentary from photographs that we took around our town of Gettysburg, PA, which tells the sad, bitter-sweet truth that everything must change. In our video, the song “Everything Must Change,” by the great Nina Simone, plays along in the background. You’ll notice, as captured at the end of our video, the Bible verse in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Ironically, isn’t it quite peculiar that the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ will never change; he will and always has remained the same; however, everything on God’s green earth is ever changing!
